rifledress:

Of course I know we’re still friends. But it’s obvious a lot has happened while I was… Missing in Action. Though, feel free to tell me what you want to tell me. There is no rush.

After all, looks like we’re going to be here for a while.

[ She watched Madoka float down to the ground, admiring her for a bit. She certainly has matured with her physical appearance but Mami knew that this was indeed the Madoka she became friends with. There was a lot of calmness and hopefulness emitting around the young goddess, and it was a nice change of pace.

Despair was always a common thing with Mahou Shoujo, but now… Mami felt at peace. She tilted her head slightly at what Madoka said, but nodded her head as well. ]

I see… So, I’m guessing you’ve contracted with Kyuubey and became a Mahou Shoujo like myself? I feel as though your energy surpasses a veteran like myself. I’m proud of you, Madoka. It seems like you’ve been holding up well.

The rosette’s high-heeled feet touched the grass beneath her. Allowing her to finally stand on the same plane of height with the blonde. Clasping her hands together in front of her chest, her golden hues would peer over into Mami’s golden hues—

I’m proud of you, Madoka.

—Were the very words Madoka would ever hope to fill herself with joy. It was as if she finally accomplished something she never could have ever had. After all, Mami was her role-model, her idol, and her mentor. Those words gave her the confidence and smile that she needs to spread her own seeds of hope.

“Thank you… Mami-san…!”

Madoka replied loudly jumping up and down cheerfully, almost yelling in joy—

Of course I know we’re still friends. But it’s obvious a lot has happened while I was… Missing in Action. Though, feel free to tell me what you want to tell me. There is no rush.

“A lot has happened, Mami-san… But first, we’re not even at Earth anymore… or even in our own universe…Aha…Eheheh…”

Her joyous expression, now slowly shifting into a slightly nervous one. Her slowly began to fill itself with anxiety. How could she explain this to her, when she, herself doesn’t even know what and where she is…

Sayaka shook her head again, attempting to pull herself together. Though Madoka had somehow taken away most of her grief, there was still all of that doubt and guilt that plagued her mind somewhere in its darkest corners. It was important that she not make Madoka’s work pointless and let her Soul Gem cloud once more, so she focused on ignoring it, for now.

“Yeah,” she said with a faint smile that gradually grew. “Allies of justice, right, Madoka?” She lifted one fist and winked. “We’ll be the best Magical Girls ever.” After a moment, though, her curiosity got the best of her.

“You seem a little…different…Madoka.” What had she missed? She was so much more mature and serenely confident now. “What exactly did you wish for?”

As Sayaka raised her fist, Madoka couldn’t help but raise her own hand as well. Gently tapping her wrist on the other’s playfully, followed by a cheerful giggle.

“What exactly did you wish for?”

The question felt straight and abrupt to the moment she just shared, but without any remose; the rosette patted her chest, and readied herself to reveal her wish. Oh it felt a little glamorous, yet enigmatic to share her desire to her best friend, feeling as if she was sharing the same notebook in which she drew her self-portrait of being a magical girl. After all, she had nothing to hide right? Madoka was no liar.

“I wished to erase all witches in existence—”

She paused, allowing her serious tone to shift within her throat.

“Witches are actually magical girls who fell into despair, and which is why the soul-gem clouds into darkness. Once engulfed in impurity, it cracks into a grief seed, then… a witches barrier forms. My wish was that witches were erased from the past, present, and future, so that we don’t have to suffer in the face of despair, and can believe in our own hopes until the very end. So you don’t have to worry about any of that, anymore. Eheheh…~”

Madoka broke her stoic expression with her giggle, and then into a gentle smile. With her cheeks slightly shading in a light rose-like blush. A smile in which the rosette could finally feel proud and cheerful about herself.

[ War is something considered unavoidable. Before she ascended into the cosmos, Madoka believed in world peace, and a way to stop all necessary fighting within the world. And believed in the sense of tranquility, harmony, and justice. Detaching herself away from humanity made her realize that… conflict will exist within every being with emotions, and is the necessity of gaining from self-pleasure and hardships of any part of any worlds. For she too, raised her own personal war against herself and the monuments of despair against witches and it’s existence. ]

Annoyance.

Desperation.

Confusion.

Magnificent high heels marched across the concrete floor that embellished what appeared to be an ancient looking village. Little information about it was known to the girl whose heels pattered angrily against the ground, hands balled into ferocious little fists.

“It can’t be. Not again.”

The gracious looking girl muttered under her breath, wide violet hues glazed over with shock scanned each and every single detail of her familiar surroundings. Why? Why did this happen? Again? This world…it was so well known to her. Arcadios. How could she forget? The paradise ruled by the benevolent Goddess Sophia whose kindness could only be matched by her best friend. A boundless heart of gold that had momentarily saved Homura and her companions from the all the sorrow and misery they were chained to—? Although it seemed like Arcadios had changed vastly…

She didn’t care. Her mind was focused on one and only one person—Madoka Kaname. If she was here…they could reunite again…They could be together again,  they could be friends again. Solitariness had taken over Homura’s life. She couldn’t bear her life without her best friend anymore, the girl she had dedicated months and months of her life protecting. It still hurt her knowing that there might be a tiny little chance of Madoka not being in Arcadios. But she wouldn’t give up until she knew for sure.

Among the culminating chatter that consumed Polios, Homura stood there, violet hues scanning the entire area in hopes of finding the familiar looking rosette.

“Madoka! Are you here? Madoka! Say something! Please!”

A voice all too familiar would echo within the atmosphere to the rosette. It was a sensation as if a triangle’s Doppler Effect would radiate through the particles within Arcadios. Her most precious friend, Akemi Homura, was calling out to her, her plea, and her distress reached out to her as if it was ready to grasp and take away her very heart. Not a moment too soon, would she jump herself within the grasps of reality, slightly bending light on her will, similar to what the Ebony would to on a daily basis— Unlike her, whom is still quite inexperienced with her own abilities found it only slightly difficult that what Homura herself would attempt.

“Homura-chan.”

Her voice called out to the ebony, allowing her to phase herself within the plane of visual sight. Though an unfamiliar, yet ever-so familiar sight of the rosette would stand above her. Her long white dress, and long hair, her feet in winged-pink high heels, and transparent seraphic wings extended behind her back.

The rosette placed her gloved hand onto the dome of Homura’s head, giving a gentle pat, stroking the white fabrics of her glove through the silk-like sensation of her black hair. She smiled gently, holding her cheek with her other hand—

“I’m here. It’s okay.”

Madoka whispered with a gentle tone.

Sayaka opened her mouth and shut it again in surprise as she felt Madoka mess with her hair.

Just hearing Kyousuke’s name hurt. She weakly smiled. “Th…Thanks, Madoka. Hah, it’s funny…I’m usually the one….who watches out for you…” Like how she had put herself between her friend and the Familiars they had first encountered what seemed like ages ago.

Okay, she was definitely sure that something was strange here. Rather than keep her thoughts to herself, she went ahead and spoke them out loud.

“Your wish? So you became a Magical Girl after all?” A jolt of fear and guilt punctured her heart. “I-It wasn’t because of what I said earlier, right? About how you had all of this power but wasn’t doing anything?”

Madoka herself felt the slight jolt of pain within her own emotions when she abruptly spoke out loud about the azure’s crush. It terrified her in the slightest that she could be so careless… adding even more to that was how she had opened her mouth earlier. But she didn’t bother to keep anything from her friend anymore really. Though what she felt anxious about wasn’t something she wanted to hide in the first place.

“Your wish? So you became a Magical Girl after all?”

“I-It wasn’t because of what I said earlier, right? About how you had all of this power but wasn’t doing anything?”

“Yes, I became a Magical Girl.”

The rosette paused and closed her eyes. Placing her right hand over her chest with a confident smile.

“Don’t worry Sayaka-chan. It doesn’t have to do with anything you said. I realized what I truly wanted… I wanted to make sure that those who believed in hope could rest assured, and could continue to believe in it until the very end.”

“We’re both Magical Girls. Our job is to grant hopes and dreams to those who need them. And like you said, Sayaka-chan— Become the ally of justice.”

Adventus~♪ (Intro/Open)

militisdecretum:

It was really clear that Madoka was hiding something. Not only did she know her friend reasonably well, but anyone could tell, just from looking at her. Madoka wasn’t a liar, but she certainly wasn’t good at withholding information either. Sayaka arched a skeptical eyebrow.

Hearing what she said…

Sayaka closed her eyes.

“So…those memories I had…of music and…” She clenched her teeth and tried not to cry again, shutting her eyes tightly.

For Madoka’s sake, she tried to smile, despite the distress that was cracking her features.

“I-I don’t have to worry, you fixed it, right? How?”

Madoka stepped onto the tip of her toes, to match the height of the azure magi. Extending her arm slowly, she patted the palm of her hand onto the dome of her friend’s head. She bristled her small fingers into her blue hair—

“Don’t worry Sayaka-chan. I’m sure one day… Kamijou-kun would feel at loss for your sacrifice. All you have to do is believe, and move forward.”

Knowing that it was something quite hard for Sayaka to comprehend… But at least Madoka now understood her struggles, rather than sitting idly and watching her become a mermaid drown into the sea of her own sorrow. But the rosette kept an assuring smile.

“I-I don’t have to worry, you fixed it, right? How?”

“Let’s just say, that was my wish, Sayaka-chan.”

rifledress:

Ah-

[ The girl seemed familiar enough, and it took Mami a second to realize it was Madoka herself. It was rather surprising, since y’know Mami’s been out of the loop because her head wasn’t on her shoulders straight. She watched in silent, a calm and peaceful look on her face. The veteran placed her hands behind her back, watching the seed shatter before her eyes. ]

I suppose I did have a nice nap. [ Silence was between the two girls, and the blonde finally spoke up once again, pointing to the younger female. ] Though, it’s rather rude to leave a friend out of the loop for so long.

[ The hint of her wanting to know couldn’t be less bold. ]

It was as heartwarming and comforting as ever, to Madoka’s mellow heart to find herself to gaze upon the sweet smile and the calm atmosphere of that was and is Tomoe Mami.

Though, it’s rather rude to leave a friend out of the loop for so long.

“Eheheh…. I’m sorry Mami-san. But we’re still friends, as you wanted, and as promised.”

The rosette giggled nervously, lowering herself from the air, with her transparent wings fluttered quickly like a humming bird’s wings, and her winged-high heels landing on the grass below her.

Indeed a form of explanation was needed, but Madoka felt better if the pace was taken in baby steps. And besides, Mami was more of a veteran and senpai to Madoka in many ways that she could ever be. Perhaps her level of comprehension would be much more accurate than the rosette herself.

“As you told me Mami-san. I tried everyone’s hope-“

She broke the silence once more, with a gentle smile.
